Business travel

Business travel covers any transport of employees for business purposes such as flights, trains and buses. It does not include travel in any vehicles owned or controlled by you.

Industrial processes

Fuels include any liquid, gaseous or solid fuels you burn in facilities, buildings or vehicles you own or control.

Purchased energy

Purchased energy includes electricity, heat, cooling or steam that is generated outside of your operations (at a power plant). Your purchased energy-use will be for any facilities, buildings or electric vehicles you own or control.

Refrigerants and fugitive emissions

Refrigerants and fugitive emissions are refrigerant and gas losses from equipment in facilities, buildings or vehicles you own or control.

Transportation and storage

Includes the transportation and storage of products you buy from suppliers and those you sell to customers.

Owned/Leased vehicles

Vehicle use includes travelling in vehicles that are owned or leased. Owned electric vehicles should be reported as part of your Scope 2 electricity usage.
